Generally in good condition. The 12 pin lead has been damaged and has been repaired and is covered by electirical insulation tape. The number plate light is broken (r.h.s), there is bubbling to the surface to the front structure beneath the windows. There is a repair to the bottom rear left hand corner. Within the caravan was an extra electric socket and status aerial system to rhs and electric lights (240v) which are not standard. The external door to the toilet cassette cannot be locked. Van was fully loaded with all equipment and personals pending first trip to Spain. Feet down, jockey wheel removed, hitchlock and alco lock fitted, industrial chain and padlock threaded through wheels and axle and wheel clamp and parked right by house. We or neighbours never heard a sound absolutely amazed that they can steal this van without making a sound. Absolutely heart broken after ten years of hard work to achieve this level of caravanning. Just like previous mailer to this site we are absolutely amazed that they can steal away our caravan so easily and get clean away. Police don't seem to be bothered about stolen caravans just pass the buck to insurance all the time, if this was a stolen Astra they would chase it up the road with a helicopter to recover. This is £15,000 worth of van, equipment, and personal effects fully loaded with many extras with a scanable identichip which should stop it being moved through any port of entry or exit but the police just say that to check every port would slow down the loading of ferries and although the police put out a nationwide call they do not apparently notify the port authorities in time to prevent these caravans from being shipped out of the country. As far as insurance is concerned we now feel like criminals having to prove and justify our claim in order to replace our lovely caravan which has been stolen by some dirty stinking ------- thief in the night who is breaking the laws of our land. Their only salvation after a bad few years was to get away from it all occasionally. Caravan was uninsured and police were uninterested. If you know who has this caravan, please send the details of who has it directly to me and not to the police. Caravan thieves get away with 20000 caravans a year in the UK alone. This van is registered as a bailey senator arizona as it was a prototype for that year. It is a one off and has all the senator upgrades on it. If you look at the pageant sign above the front window you will be able to see where it said senator. This was stolen off my drive at approx 3pm whilst the wife picked up the kids from school. It had two wheel locks on 1 titan and 1 milenco. It had a steel cable bolting it to my garage via a padlock. It had a front hitch lock (ALKO). It had another alarm cable on it. All the legs were down. It had a factory fitted alarm. The electirc cable was plugged in. One of the rear legs was changed recently as I broke it, it goes the opposite way now. This is now the last caravan I will ever buy. This has happened to me twice in less than a year. I would just like to say that when we had a caravan stolen, (twin axle, as ever) the police didn't bother to show up even though it was seen leaving, alarm going etc. These thieves are tooled up and organised. Everything was easily removed with cutting gear brought in a Transit. A local policeman friend, completely on his own back, rang the docks at Liverpool and sure enough three twin axle caravans turned up being towed by 16 and 17 year old girls! One was the one stolen from here. The owner had to go up there and prove it was her van. CRIS numbers had been changed (0s into 8s) and the only way she could prove it was hers was by showing an extrememly well hidden number. The girls and some men were released on bail and got on the next ferry to Ireland! Our very distressed friend sold her caravan which was new and had only been used for one weekend. She has now changed her habits and bought a single axle one. Be warned, if they want it, they'll have it. One way of putting them off is to remove all the loose seats, after all if they have to replace them they would have to match up the upholstery. A nuisance but apart from a tracker I don't know what else you can do to put them off. Unfortunately the police aren't interested. Name: John Scott CommentsHi everyone I own a 2003 6 berth Argente & travellers have made 4 yes 4 attempts to steal it without success (so far) I have fitted the most effective wheelclamp I could find Lionweld The same as the councils use. I also have other devices but the most effective appears to be the Super Mule. It is a very heavy duty bar which you winds down from inside the van. This then bites into the ground & ant attempt to tow will cause it to dig in. The towing vehicle's engine will stall. I have a V8 Disco & I forgot it was down & despite lost of revs I failed to move the van. Fortunaly I did'nt cause any damage. The internal winder is secured by place a free rotating lock over it. It occurs to me that you may think I'm connected to this manufaturer, please let me assure everyone I am not. The Alko hitchlock can be removed in seconds. During the 1st attack they peeled it back with a large screwdriver.
