| etrex™ GPS | |
|
Truly a small wonder, the etrex™ takes the best features of a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver and put them into a six ounce package that is only four inches high and two inches wide. The result is a unit that will literally fit in the palm of your hand. |

Sapphire Torch
Bluer than velvet was the light |
|
![]() |
A lighter-upper of dark driveways and by far the most impressive pocket light source of its size. Ideal for seeing your way back to your caravan in the dark. The Sapphire Torch is a mightily impressive little thing, especially when you consider that it’s not much different in size to your thumb. Powered by a lithium battery and utilising a blue gallium nitride LED, the Sapphire Torch is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard during daylight hours. Use it in the dark, however, and its power is there for all to see – in both senses of the phrase. The beam of bright blue light it produces is remarkably strong, other casing colours available. |

| Lexon Radio Walker Tiny pocket radio |
|
![]() |
For a radio roughly the size
of a box of England's Glory, the reception on the Lexon Radio Walker
is excellent. Sound quality is also better than expected, thanks to
the provided headphones being both comfortable in your ears and
acceptable in filling those ears with radio sounds. The headphones are
fixed and can't be removed for replacement with your own cans, but
that matters not. |

![]() |
What exactly is the
attraction of sitting on a large, air-filled rubber sac and bouncing
away like a baby in one of those strapped-to-a-doorframe contraptions
that infants so enjoy? Putting a finger on the exact reason is
difficult, but something as fundamental and basic as a go on a space
hopper doesn't really stand up to analysis. In essence, it's just a
hugely entertaining thing to do. By far the best way to get full enjoyment from these oversized fun bags is to race them. Happily, for exactly that purpose, the makers fashion their creations in three different colours and emblazon large numbers on the front. Perfect for competition hopping. |

| Casio Wrist Camera Proper James Bond territory |
|
![]() |
Casio are really going for
it in the wrist-tech stakes. Not content with their MP3 watch,
they've created a digital camera to go alongside it. Sound from one
wrist, pictures on the other. All that's needed to complete the set
is some kind of brainwave-activated computer in the form of a pair
of stylish sunglasses and the three-pin plug is history. Until that glorious day, the WQV-2 is plenty to keep us occupied, as it's clearly one of the most impressive gadgets of the year. |

| Projection Clock |
|
|
Now when you wake in the
night, you don't have to look for the clock. This 100% accurate,
radio-controlled alarm clock projects the time on the wall or the
ceiling. So it's ideal for spectacle or contact lens wearers, and
means you can find out the time without disturbing your partner if
the clock is on their side of the bed! Neatly styled, it has a two
line display for time and date, plus a second time zone. There's
an 8 minute snooze function, plus two independent crescendo alarms
that can be set to wake you gently at different times for weekdays
and weekends. A manual focusing knob ensures a crisp projected
image, and a strong LED backlight shows the clock display in the
dark. |

| ZapCap Tops off in seconds |
|
|
This is what gadgets
are all about. Sure, you can open your beer with any old bottle
opener but you certainly won't generate a crowd of onlookers all
desperate for a go. Surprisingly this is what happened to us
when we took the ZapCap to our local pub to conduct vital
research. There's something strangely addictive about slamming the ZapCap down on your unopened bottle and watching it pop open. |
